Well I've been rockin out the workouts... 6xs a week since June 30th (missed on Sat because of FaV). But DAMN it hurts! I hate the waiting around to see the results crap too. I've probably got another month before the results become even a little bit visible. Oh well.
My house is DEMOLISHED. People who know me and have been to my house are probably rolling their eyes. But even the naysayers would agree at this point.
Monday I moved my roll top desk & dining room table to my mothers & picked up the leather love seat that matches my couch. I immediately took all the cushions off the couch & love seat spread them on the floor and covered the fabric in baking soda. As soon as I get a chance I will vacuum that up and wipe down both pieces with an Oxyclean mixture. My mom has cats - I am hoping this will get all the cat dander / allergens off.
Monday night I had a committee meeting... home from work & off again immediately... back in time for bed.
Last night I went to dinner with Master Roy... Texas Land and Cattle... YUMMM YUMMM YUMMM. I got a flat tire on the way to his house... grrrr... I filled the tire up at the gas station and got to his house. We went to dinner and had a nice meal & conversation. Plus the hot waitress was definitely flirting with me. Ego Boost! Tire was fine when I got back. I headed to NTB and it was a good thing because it was flat again by the time I arrived. Wound up not getting home until 9:00... time for bed.
The point I haven't had time to do ANYTHING to my apartment. Today MUST be the day! I must must must get things at least livable.
I'm hoping to schedule a massage for my poor jacked up back tomorrow... but right now he couldn't even set up the table - lol.
I drug Sean out today for the first time this summer to play some tennis. I love tennis. I am not good. But I love the energy used to play. We played for about an hour straight. Very good time. :)
In the continue redo of the family roon, tonight I dissambled the entertainment center. It might have been easier if I had saved the directions. It used four different screwdrivers plus nails to hold on the cardboard backing. But I only stripped one screw! It will reassmble fine if I ever want to. It did take eight trips up and down the stairs to get it to the basement, but it is in a small dry spot down there. And a 2.5 hour total project time. Sigh. But it is done.
We are changing the family room to make it more open. This involves removing furniture. And it involves moving it to the basement for storage. As any one who has seen my basement knows, the entrance to it is tight. Too tight for furniture. So I think, the desk came in a box, I can take it apart.
Sounded easy.
However, I discovered that there were four pegs that had been glued in place. Two on each side. I could not see them. So I ended up breaking the spots on one side at the posts. I think I can glue them back if I rebuild it. I thought I had a cunning plan.
No, it does not really matter. It is not even good baseball most of the time. But the extra frames were very exciting. 4:50 and 15 innings. Ending after 1:30AM local time. The game ends with a play at the plate on a sacrifice fly that scored by a fraction. But the call was correct. A great game even if it is just a showcase.
Sean had outgrown his 24" bike. We had been looking around some earlier in the summer. I wanted to look for a used bike, but today sgtgwn found some good sales at K-Mart. So after dinner we went out. Found a nice new Huffy 26" for him for $89. I actually adjusted everything on it when we got home for him. He seems to like it.
